Can you do some sport?

1. Perguntar aos alunos quais esportes eles praticam. Apresentar o vídeo e perguntar se eles sabem praticar estes esportes. Praticar a música.



2. Apresentar o vocabulário de esportes.




3. Os alunos deverão completar a atividade perguntando aos colegas se eles têm habilidade para jogar os esportes.

Exemplo: Can you play soccer? O aluno deve escrever a resposta (Yes, I can ou No, I can't).

Após, os alunos falarão a respeito das habilidades dos colegas.

Exemplo: Karin can play soccer, but she cant play basketball.
             


4. Serão feitas atividades online e/ou na lousa digital.

Extreme Sports & Modal Verbs

1) Ask students about extreme sports they remember. Then show them the videos below:




2) Discuss with them:

  • which one they think is the most extreme and why.
  • which one they would try or not try and why.

3) Show them a few more sports:




4) Review the modal verbs: CAN - COULD - SHOULD - MUST.

The students will choose one sport and present 3 sentences using the Modal Verbs:

Mr. Peabody & Sherman: Modal for Ability CAN

1. Watch the music about what the animals can do.

2. Show the image and ask the students about what the animals can do. The students will answer the questions using the verbs above, making negative or affirmative answers.

FLY - RIDE A BIKE - READ - WRITE - JUMP - STUDY - RUN - EAT ICE CREAM- USE COMPUTER - WATCH TV - SWIM - PLAY BASKETBALL - SPEAK ENGLISH - CRAWL - CLIMB- DANCE


3. Show the movie segment : "Mr. Peabody & Sherman". 




4. After the segment is over, the students will make a list of everything Mr. Peabody can do. They will write on the comments at the English Lab blog.

Ordering food in a restaurant

1. Watch the restaurant situation.
Answer the questions:


How often do you eat in a restaurant?
Describe your favorite restaurant.
Describe a meal you had recently eat in a restaurant.
What are the things that make a good restaurant for you? 



2. Role Play Activity - The use of 'would'
In groups the students have to create a restaurant situation with the menu cards.
